অসাধারণ বাস্তবতাময় কবিতার জনক পল্লী কবি জসীমউদ্দিন

বাংলাদেশের সেরা একজন কবি পল্লী কবি জসীম উদ্দিন । বিংশ শতাব্দীতে যেসব বাঙ্গালী কবি সাহিত্যিকদের কবিতা সাহিত্য পাঠ করে মানুষ মুগ্ধ হত অসীম জ্ঞান লাভ করত তাদের মধ্যে অন্যতম কবি ছিলেন তিনি। তাঁর রচিত কবিতা পাঠে পাঠকরা   গ্রাম বাংলার অপরুপ সুন্দর

প্রকৃতি সম্পর্কে জ্ঞান লাভ করে।   পাশাপাশি বিংশ শতাব্দীর গ্রাম বাংলার সাধারন মানুষের  দৈনন্দিন জীবনযাপন প্রনালী, পেশা, খাদ্যাভ্যাস , পোশাক , আতিথিয়তা  সুখ-দু:খ, সামাজিক জীবন আচারের পূর্ণাঙ্গ ধরনা পাওয়া যায় কবি জসীম উদ্দিনের রচিত কবিতা অন্যান্য সাহিত্যপাঠ করে। পল্লী গ্রাম নিয়ে তিনি সব সময়  সাহিত্য চর্চা করতেন বলে তাঁকে পল্লী কবি উপাধি দেওয়া হয়েছিল।

 

পল্লী কবি জসীমউদ্দীন ১৯০৩ সালের ১ জানুয়ারি  ফরিদপুর জেলার তাম্বুলখানা গ্রামে মাতুলালয়ে জন্মগ্রহণ করেছিলেন । তাঁর পৈতৃক নিবাস ছিল একই জেলার গোবিন্দপুর গ্রামে। পিতা আনসারউদ্দীন মোল্লা ছিলেন একজন স্কুল শিক্ষক। শৈশবে ফরিদপুর হিতৈষী স্কুলে জসীমউদ্দীনের প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক শিক্ষা শুরু হয়। তারপর ফরিদপুর জেলা স্কুল থেকে প্রবেশিকা (১৯২১),  রাজেন্দ্র কলেজ থেকে আই.এ (১৯২৪) ও বি.এ (১৯২৯) এবং  কলকাতা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে বাংলা ভাষা ও সাহিত্যে তিনি এম.এ (১৯৩১) পাস করেন। তাঁর কর্মজীবন শুরু হয় পল্লিসাহিত্যের সংগ্রহকারী  হিসেবে। স্নাতকোত্তর শ্রেণীতে অধ্যয়নকালে দীনেশচন্দ্র সেনের আনুকূল্যে কলকাতা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃক  তিনি নিয়োগ। এমএ পাস করার পর থেকে তিনি একই  বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে দীনেশচন্দ্র সেনের অধীনে  রামতনু লাহিড়ী গবেষণা সহকারী ছিলেন ১৯৩৭ সাল পর্যন্ত । ১৯৩৮ সালে তিনি ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বাংলা বিভাগে লেকচারার পদে যোগদান করেন। এখানে ১৯৪৩ সাল পর্যন্ত চাকরি করেন।  ১৯৪৪ সাল থেকে তিনি প্রথমে বঙ্গীয় প্রাদেশিক সরকার এবং পরে পূর্ব পাকিস্তান সরকারের প্রচার বিভাগের কর্মকর্তা হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেন। ১৯৬২ সালে  ডেপুটি ডাইরেক্টর হিসেবে অবসর গ্রহণ করে পরবর্তীতে  ঢাকার কমলাপুরে নিজ বাড়িতে স্থায়িভাবে বসবাস করা শুরু করেন।

Palli  or Rural poet Jasimuddin is the father of extraordinary realistic poetry

One of the best poets of Bangladesh is rural poet Jasim Uddin. He was one of those poets in the 20th century who were fascinated by reading the poetry of Bengali poets and literati and gained infinite knowledge. Readers reading his poems are very beautiful in the village of Bengal

Gains knowledge about nature. In addition, the daily life of the common people of rural Bengal in the 20th century, profession, food habits, clothes, hospitality, happiness and sorrow, complete patterns of social life rituals can be found in the poems written by poet Jasim Uddin and other literary texts. He was given the title of Palli Kavi as he always practiced literature about Palli villages.

 

Rural poet Jasimuddin was born on January 1, 1903 in Matulalay in Tambulkhana village of Faridpur district. His ancestral home was Gobindpur village of the same district. Father Ansaruddin Mollah was a school teacher. Jasimuddin's formal education began in his childhood at the Faridpur Benevolent School. Then from Faridpur District School, he passed his entrance (1921), I.A. (1924) and B.A. (1929) from Rajendra College and M.A. (1931) in Bengali Language and Literature from Calcutta University. His career began as a collector of Palli literature. He was recruited by the University of Calcutta in favor of Dinesh Chandra Sen during his postgraduate studies. After passing his MA, he was a research assistant to Ramtanu Lahiri under Dinesh Chandra Sen in the same university till 1937. In 1938, he joined the Bengali department of Dhaka University as a lecturer. Worked here till 1943. From 1944, he served first as an officer in the Propaganda Department of the Bengal Provincial Government and later of the East Pakistan Government. After retiring as Deputy Director in 1962, he later started living permanently at his house in Kamalapur, Dhaka.
