অসাধারণ বাস্তবতাময় কবিতার জনক পল্লী কবি জসীমউদ্দিন

পল্লী কবি জসিমউদ্দিনের অগনিত অসাধারন সাহিত্যকর্মের মধ্যে  এক পয়সার বাশী, রাখালী , ডালিমকুমার , বউ টুবানীর ফুল, নকশী কাঁথার মাঠ, মধুমালা , বেদের মেয়ে, আসমানীর কবি ভাই, পদ্মাপার, হাসু , সোজন বাদিয়ার ঘাট , মাটির কান্না ইত্যাদি তাঁর উল্লেখযোগ্য সাহিত্যকর্ম । তিনি শুধু অসাধারন মেধাবী একজন কবিই ছিলেননা এর পাশাপাশি তিনি ছিলেন  অসাধারন মেধাবী প্রাবন্ধিক, কাব্যগ্রন্থ গবেষক, স্মৃতিকথারচয়িতা, ভ্রমণকাব্য রচয়িতা, ঔপন্যাসিক। পল্লী কবি জসিমউদ্দিনের সাহিত্যকর্মে বাংলাদেশের আদি ঐতিহ্যবাহী  গ্রামীণলোক -সংস্কৃতি সম্পর্কে পরিস্কার ধারণা পাওয়া যায় এদেশের গ্রাম বাংলার আদি লোক সংস্কৃতিকে বিশ্বে পরিচয় করিয়ে দিতে    ১৯৭০ সালে জাতিসংঘের  অধীনস্থ ইউনেস্কো তাঁর রচিত সোজন বাদিয়ার ঘাট ইংরেজি ভাষায় অনুবাদ ও প্রকাশ করে । রুশ ভাষায় ও পল্লী কবি জসিমউদ্দিনের মাটির কান্না কাব্যগ্রন্থের সংস্করণ রয়েছে।  পল্লী কবি  জসিমউদ্দিন যখন জীবিত ছিলেন তখন রাশিয়া , আমেরিকা সহ বহু  দেশে লোক সংস্কৃতি উৎসবে অংশগ্রহণ করেন।এছাড়া তিনি দুইবার এডিনবার্গ উৎসবে অংশগ্রহণ করেছিলেন যা ১৯৫০ এবং ১৯৬২ সালে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছিল। 

এই অসাধারন মেধাবী ,সৃজনশীল  কবি ১৯৭৬ সালের ১৪ই মার্চ  মৃত্যুবরণ করেন।

Palli or Rural  poet Jasimuddin is the father of extraordinary realistic poetry

Among the innumerable literary works of Palli Kavi Jasimuddin, Ek Paisaar Bashi, Rakhali, Dalimkumar, Bou Tubani's Flower, Nakshi Kanthar Math, Madhumala, Veda's Daughter, Asmanir Kavi Bhai, Padmapar, Hasu, Sojan Badiyar Ghat, Mati Kanna etc. are his notable literary works. He was not only a brilliant poet, but also a brilliant essayist, poetry researcher, memoirist, travel writer, novelist. In the literary work of rural poet Jasimuddin, a clear idea of the original traditional rural folk culture of Bangladesh can be found. In order to introduce the original folk culture of rural Bengal to the world, in 1970, UNESCO under the United Nations translated and published Sojan Badiyar Ghat written by him in English language. There is also a Russian language version of Jasimuddin's poetry of the country poet Jasimuddin. Rural poet Jasimuddin participated in folk culture festivals in many countries including Russia, America during his lifetime. He also participated in the Edinburgh Festival twice which was held in 1950 and 1962.

This extremely talented, creative poet died on March 14, 1976.
